Thelma Mericle

I was born in the City of Angels and graduated Los Angeles Valley College and Cal State Northridge with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Piano Performance and Teaching Credential minor.  I have performed professionally at many So Cal venues and for many dignitaries.  I am also currently a Music Director and organist at 2 local churches and a teacher at the Buckley School Performing Arts Conservatory.  Being a homeowner and serving as a Neighborhood Watch Block Captain for over 20 years, I value safety and the quality of life for the community.  I am also a current member of the Los Angeles Conservancy and the San Fernando Valley Historical Society.  It is an honor and a privilege to serve as the Residential Representative for Sherman Oaks District 1.

Thelma Mericle was appointed to the Area 1 Residential seat effective February 12, 2024, having previously served on the council from 2021-2023.
