Call for Volunteers to Assist Homebound Persons During COVID Safer At Home Order

Posted on 04/03/2020

Sherman Oaks residents who are homebound – seniors and disabled neighbors – need your help.

The Safer at Home order will be in effect for a while.  The Sherman Oaks Neighborhood Council (SONC) is gathering names of individuals who are willing and able to help other Sherman Oaks residents who can’t or shouldn’t leave their homes during the coronavirus emergency.

Who:
> Neighbors who can help perform tasks (e.g., dog walking) and run errands (grocery shopping, etc.) for neighbors in need.
> Neighbors who need help.

Those That Can Help
If you can help with delivery of groceries and medicines, make wellness calls, or in other ways, please email HelpSONC@gmail.com with the following information:
> Your Name:
> Telephone Number (Cell is preferred):
> Email address:
> How you can help (e.g., grocery delivery, dog walking, wellness checks, etc.).

I’ll get back to you.  If you know others that are willing to help, please forward this message to them.

Those That Need Help
Once we have a working list of volunteers that can help, we will reach out again to identify individuals that need help and match them up with the volunteers on the working list.  If you need help email: HelpSONC@gmail.com.

Be safe. Stay home. Ask for help. Together we will get through this.

Thanks.
